San Diego Zoo
The world famous San Diego Zoo was one of the main reasons I wanted to go to San Diego and I was not disappointed after I had visited. It is a tremendous place with lots of animals and information. Of course, one little web page can never do justice to the zoo. Go visit for yourself.

The picture below is an elephant made out of a bush. They also had a giraffe bush in the park near where the giraffes are kept.

One of my favorites -- two Koalas (mother and baby).

They have an adult male and female Giant Panda Bear at the zoo. In 1999, they had a baby -- Hua Mei. In this picture he is almost three years old. At that time, the Chinese government will decide where he will live. The Pandas never looked over at us, so all we have is their back.

They had two Polar Bears that kept us entertained. One spent most of his time in the water; this one liked to stay dry.

They have a National Park inside the zoo -- Wegeforth National Park. At this park, they do a little Sea Lion show.

These are two of the very young giraffes at the zoo. When a baby giraffe is born, it has a 6 foot fall. What a way to come in to life!

The Bougainvilleas were beautiful all over San Diego. This tree at the zoo was astounding. Another at the Hotel del Coronado was just as brilliant.

One of the ugliest creatures when an adult, this baby Warthog is quite cute. Don't you just want to take him home?
