I worked at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for almost twenty years, so, I had heard of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for many years but had never been there. I decided to stay one night in Louiville and thought that would be a nice place to stay. The room was very nice and quite reasonable. The campus was very nice, and the people were too. Two views of the campus are below.

If you've seen my other pages, you know I am quite a fan of zoos. Below are some pictures from the Louisville zoo: first a young giraffe, then a baby tiger -- there were three of them, but only one was posing.

The Bald Eagles below were rescued animals. They had gunshot wounds that caused them each to lose a wing, thus they cannot fly and cannot return to the wild.

I mentioned in one of the Indiana pages that I saw quite a few butterflies on this trip. The Louisville zoo had a butterfly exhibit.

Two of my favorite animals at any zoo are penguins and otters. The guys below did not disappoint me.

While in Louisville, I had to stop at the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum. I got to take a tour and see bats being made.
