The Center for Distance Learning is investigating alternate courseware management systems. I lead the research of various aspects of several learning management systems using a set of decision factors ranging from systems criteria to features and client satisfaction. Also, I am defining a process of investigation by adapting approaches used by other institutions and investigating current trends in the field of learning management systems, including whether or not student success is linked with usability or with particular features in learning management systems (such as wikis, e-portfolios, rubrics).
